Camera Cranes were once only available to big budget productions and viewers have associated this look with high production values. Camera movement is more than just a gimmick used in high-end production. It is a powerfully creative tool available to every programme maker.The  Jib is one such tool. An ingeniously clever invention that allows camera moves in almost every direction.

WHAT SIZE CRANE DO I NEED?

The  Jib can be set up in various fixed operating lengths depending on room, time scale or required lens height. Jibs do not have to be huge to make a really dynamic shot and the feeling of movement can be significantly altered by various lens angles. We can advise you if you are not sure.

The Junior, with a 6ft reach and a 13ft lens height height
The Standard , with a 6ft reach and a 13ft lens height
The Standard Plus, with a 9ft reach and 15ft lens height
The Giant with a 12ft reach and a 20ft lens height
The Super Giant, with a 18ft reach and a 25ft lens height
The Super Plus, with 24ft reach and a 30ft lens height
The Extreme, which has a 30ft reach that gives you 33ft lens height

 How long does it take to set up ?

We arrive in a car or van with the Jib packed in its flight cases. When it is taken to its location and unpacked it takes between twenty minutes and two hours to build depending on the length of the crane and complexity of camera rig.
